The Vision
This Mumbai apartment required a complete renovation, starting with the treatment and tiling of walls affected by seepage. One of the key client requests was to expand the kitchen slightly and incorporate a dedicated pantry for added storage. They also emphasized the need for smart utility solutions throughout the home—including storage in balconies, the passage, and near the entrance foyer.
Another essential feature was integrating a mandir seamlessly into the living room’s TV unit, blending spiritual function with contemporary aesthetics. In the master bedroom, the client envisioned a serene retreat, with a soft palette of whites to create a sense of calm and understated charm.
The Outcome
The design brings together elegance, functionality, and a sense of calm across every corner of the home. At the entrance, a welcoming foyer sets the tone with a neutral colour palette that ensures timeless sophistication and effortlessly complements the overall aesthetic.
In the living room, a blush pink sofa becomes the focal point—paired with tall wall lighting and gold accents, the space feels both luxurious and inviting. A mirror-paneled wall adds depth and brightness, visually expanding the space while enhancing natural light. The mandir, seamlessly integrated with the TV unit, features sleek slide-in doors in a pristine white finish—combining spiritual function with design subtlety.
The kitchen features a cool blue palette that evokes calmness and modern elegance. A classic white subway tile backsplash adds brightness and a timeless appeal, while improved layout and storage solutions meet daily functional needs.
The master bedroom is a tranquil sanctuary, wrapped in soothing ivory tones that promote peace and relaxation. In contrast, the boy’s bedroom is youthful and energizing—built around a versatile blue palette ranging from soft sky to deep navy, inspiring creativity while maintaining a restful vibe.
