Julian Alps - Where Simplicity Speaks
Adding simple elegance to a family home
The Vision
This apartment required a full renovation, including substantial civil work. From our very first conversation with the client, their vision was clear: they had a deep appreciation for simplicity and wanted a space that reflected that sensibility. The design needed to be calm, minimal, and quietly elegant and effortless extension of functional storage spaces .
The Outcome
One of the primary challenges was integrating a compact home office within the living area without disrupting the sense of openness. With two entrances to the apartment, we concealed one using a hidden door cleverly integrated into a custom bookshelf, offering both visual interest and added storage. Exposed beams—revealed after structural walls were removed—posed another design hurdle, which we addressed through thoughtful detailing that embraced rather than masked them.
The kitchen was completely reimagined to enhance utility, with optimized storage and layout improvements. Throughout the home, natural light plays a central role—softly illuminating neutral tones, layered textures, and finishes that heighten the sense of spatial continuity. The layout was carefully designed to feel open yet intimate, allowing each area to serve its function while contributing to a harmonious whole. We selected materials like wood, metal, and soft textiles for their tactile warmth, durability, and timeless aesthetic.
I am glad that we chose Manpreet to do our home interiors. From our first interaction to the last detail, she was always approachable and available. She accompanied us for all important selections and her inputs were very helpful. She has an eye for detail and her knowledge helped us make informed choices. She monitored all the civil and interior work personally so we were at ease. She gave us a lot of comfort while making decisions and always considered our views. It was a pleasure working with Manpreet and I would highly recommend her for all your interior solutions.
